The ever so wonderful CODES have a new video out soon and I had the pleasure of popping in for a quick nose. I don’t want to ruin the many surprise so I’ll just post some sneaky behind the scenes/obscure/impossibly irrelevant

They also played their last show of 2010 in the Button Factory. Immensely proud and utterly pissed was I. Their newest song Triangulum being the highlight of our starry night.
Ash in the Button Factory. Wish I could say more… but I was a tad tipsy and hung out in the bar with the loverly CODES n Delorentos. And then another pub…and then another pub.

This post should really be called “SJ from Dirty Epics”… u’ll see why soon.
So Raw Sessions is coming to a close and we have RSAG, Majella Murphy, The Infomatics and The Dirty Epics in the semi’s (or was it the final? who knows!). They all played a few tunes in the Button Factory on Friday and the gig was recorded and due for broadcast on Tues.
Not sure how i feel about public votes… but I’m a snapper and not paid to think, thankfully! With that in mind… you can see why this post features mainly the Dirty Epics. Apols to everyone else but SJ does give us the most visually exciting stage show, which in my books is mega important!
Another great big APOLS to RSAG, who i couldn’t snap, due to complete and utter camera failure… so I’ve included a pic from his set at Choice awards….just to be fair!

wows…now not to gross you out but my theory is that you can tell just how good a gig was but the amount of sweat your covered in at the end (especially if it’s primarily other people’s)… and with this in mind, Jape was amazing!! Incredible atmosphere created by real fans who sang along and actually knew the words (well, except for the poor girl who volunteered to sing the chorus of Streetwise on stage… she did not know the words, even with 800 people singing them to her (she still rocked it tho, bless)…a mixture of quiet acousticy and boppy electricy tunes. And a lovely guest appearance from the incredibly ladylike Lisa Hannigan… genius!

Bravo to A Futurist Theatre for stealing the show… hands down they deserved it. Tis been ages since i’ve had to pick my jaw up off the ground after a gig.But a word of caution, their myspace tunes do not do them one bit of justice. Check em live.
Line up also included Falter Ego, who i’ll admit were also smashing, and the J Walkers. There was another band, but i missed em… apols.
This was sooo much fun to shoot. She dripped old fashioned sex appeal and would ya look at that dress!! such a legend!
Shiney shiney shiney…. if i wasn’t being crushed to death by hardcore glitter lovers i would have stayed n snapped my heart away…. but ive already broken ribs in this game!
