Choice Awards 2011

(please accept my apologies for the tardiness of this post…it’s been awfully busy down my way!)

Choice Awards… it’s like a giant Christmas party-office-doo for the Irish Music industry workers. By far the highlight of my year as I get to snap most of my fave Irish bands while hanging out with some of my best mates. Yes it’s ball breaking, knee skinning, hard bloody work. But I loves it.

As far as the live performances went, it was nothing I haven’t snapped before really.

Big love to all the ever patient and obedient folk whom I dragged back to Miss M’s gaf at 4am. Yis are true troopers.

It’s Christmaaaass (well, it was!)

Let’s pretend for a moment that we’ve gone back in time to a few weeks ago and it’s still the run up to Christmas. That way I’m not ridiculously later with this post!

The Hot Press annual Round Table discussion. 2010 included Jinx Lennon, R.S.A.G., Conor Cast of Cheers, Andrew Strong (Mustang Sallllaay), Maud & The Cahoots, May Kay Fight Like Apes. Great craic was had as the hot whiskeys flowed and for the first year ever no one put up a fight with the tinsel & Santy hats! Whoo!

The Music Show 2010

The Hot Press Music Show 2010. Every year Hot Press out do themselves by putting on a bigger and better Music Show. This year was definitely a tear to be proud of. Cast Of Cheers, CODES & Fight Like Apes played, so I was happy. It also featured Damien Dempsey, Republic Of Loose, Cathy Davey and loads more.  If you’re a music nerd it’s totally the place to be with Roland, Zidjlan and every other major music company represented. If only I knew how to play an instrument… not to worry though as we had our very own Rock Photo exhibition too!

Cast Of Cheers (whelans)

I’m on a total Richter Collective buzz at the moment and I really think you need to be to! Go forth and download Cast Of Cheers album FOR FREE and try replicate the sweaty moshy madness that was Whelans last night. Ah music, don’t ya just love it. Or just love the bands that do it so well!

I also made a really crap video on my new iphoneioquattro that i’ll lash up for the shits n giggles too.
